Synopsis: This online film launched a new integrated campaign for Sony, who presented the Wimbledon finals in 3D for the first time. The film playfully revives Sony’s Famous ‘Balls’ commercial, replacing the streets of San Francisco with Leafy Wimbledon.
The film was produced for digital agency Crayon London and was combined with press and social media campaigns alongside field marketing in London. Matt Coombe, general manager of brand marketing at Sony, explains, “This project is based around a great creative idea that not only cleverly maximizes nostalgia around a previous Sony campaign, but explodes the idea digitally without having to support it with TV.”
